Massachusetts State May Legalize Cannabis In 2016


 Cannabis prohibition is entering its 78th year. Compared to 1969, when about 11% of the population supported Legalize Cannabis, today a majority of Americans support legalizing recreational use of the drug. When it comes to Legalize Cannabis, the United States took a major step forward in 2015. Alaska, Oregon, and the District of Columbia joined Washington and Colorado in Legalize Cannabis across the board. With the presidential election nearing, 2016 will most likely be another significant time for cannabis. Many states will have it on the ballot where it is expected to pass with flying colors. According to multiple sources, including US Today, these states may be joining the ranks of states where you can indulge in marijuana legally

Out of all of the states where cannabis is still illegal, Massachusetts is one of the more progressive ones. In a poll released in 2014 by the Boston Herald, 53% of Massachusetts residents were in favor of Legalize Cannabis, while only 37% were against. Proponents of legalization may have a chance to change the state law again in November 2016. Democratic State Representative Dave Rogers and Democratic State Senator Patricia Jehlen introduced a bill to to Legalize Cannabis recreational use for adults.
